Emerald Color

How is the color of emeralds graded?
In the grading system for emeralds, colors are classified into several categories:
- Intensive Green:This is the highest grade in emerald color. Intensive green emeralds possess the deepest green color, without becoming overly opaque or overly colored. They also exhibit excellent brilliance.
- Vivid Green: Vivid green emeralds have a vibrant green color slightly lighter than Intensive Green but are highly sought after for their intense hue.
- Deep Green: Deep green emeralds are rich green and popular due to their color saturation, although they may be slightly less vibrant than Intensive Green.
- Medium Green: Medium green emeralds offer a balanced color that is neither too dark nor too light and typically has very good brilliance. The saturation of these emeralds falls between 50% to 70%.

Soft Green: Softer than Medium Green, Soft Green emeralds have a saturation level between 20% to 40%. These emeralds still exhibit very good to excellent brilliance.
